The National Capital Commission (NCC) is conducting the first phase of a public consultation regarding the Long-Term Interprovincial Crossings Plan.  Objectives of the Plan include improving the flow of people and goods on existing bridges, improving public transit across the Ottawa River, and recommending strategies to reduce heavy truck traffic in the city core, all while considering emerging trends such as working remotely from home and technological innovations that can affect how people travel.

Additional information can be found on the NCC website.  Public input is requested via the NCC's online survey until 11:59 pm on Monday, November 2.

The RHPOA has a lengthy history of of participation in interprovincial bridge crossing studies and related community activism — some of which is available on our website’s NEWS ARCHIVE which dates back to 2010. (See the sidebar at right.)
