Just in time for summer, the Blair Road Boat Launch has reopened after completion of a major upgrade and improvement project which began in fall 2019.
The original boat ramp now has been replaced by a permanent concrete infrastructure for enhnaced safety. Sight lines and visibility for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians using the parking lot and multi-use pathway have also been improved.
The boat launch parking lot, also closed since fall 2019, is now open as well.
The project was one of several National Capital Commission (NCC) major infrastructure projects made possible by the federal governmet's 2018 budget.
